As such, I doubt this is a big deal for Steam as pirated games dont even use Steam at all, so this only targets a weird group of people who cant make up their mind - they need to have the games on Steam, but want to pirate their unlock-style DLCs anyway.

The deleted bits are purely for a Hearts of Iron crack and isnt gonna be much use.
Its probably easier then wrestling with MacOS just to get some DLC.
The usual answer to getting CreamAPI working on a Mac is to use Bootcamp and load it up under windows. I came across this post but it was removed.
